Ananias shows us what it looks like to trust God when He asks us to step into an uncomfortable or seemingly impossible situation. His obedience became part of Saul’s transformation and ultimately helped launch one of Christianity’s most influential apostles.Ananias probably thought God was sending him to help a dangerous man. In reality, God was sending him to meet the man who would become Paul the apostle.

Sometimes the person God is asking you to reach is someone you would rather avoid. Sometimes the assignment makes no sense. Sometimes you can't see what God sees.

But Ananias teaches us that our job isn't to understand everything God is doing. Our job is to trust Him enough to go.

On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. We grieve the cost of that sacrifice, and we thank God for their courage.
